Dr. Neofytou received his MD from the Royal College of Surgeons in Dublin. After graduation, he joined Stanford as a Research Fellow studying cardiac regeneration using human pluripotent stem cell derived cardiomyocytes.

 

He then pursued Postdoctoral training at Stanford University in Joseph Wu’s lab. There he focused on the clinical translation of stem cell therapies for cardiac diseases in particular focusing on leading the HECTOR clinical trial.
