Greenstone Biosciences would like to welcome Axel Brunger of Stanford University to its Scientific Advisory Board. His expertise and invaluable insights on Structural Biology and Molecular Dynamics will greatly facilitate and accelerate Greenstone Biosciences’ Drug Discovery programs.
Axel Brunger is interested in the molecular mechanisms of synaptic vesicle fusion, the process underlying chemical neurotransmission in the nervous system. He and his team use an array of structural and biophysical methods, including cryo-electron microscopy, optical microscopy, and cellular experimentation to explore the functional and dynamic aspects of neurotransmitter release. He is also known for developing methods and software for determining structures based on X-ray diffraction, cryo-electron microscopy, and solution NMR data.
